How To Pin Items To Your Start Menu

.:Back To PC Repair:.

Windows XP lets you place your frequently used programs on the section of the Start menu that appears when you first click the Start Button. You can get to these applications much quicker because you will not have to click Start -> All Programs -> and then locate that massive amount of program lists.

The process of adding your application to this menu is called “pinning” and is a very simple task:

  • Right-click any program file, any desktop shortcut to a program, or any program listed in the All Programs section of the Start Menu.
  • Select Pin to Start Menu from the popup menu.

It is just a simply to remove a program from this pinned menu:

  • Click Start and locate the program you wish to remove on the pinned list.
  • Right-click the program and select Unpin From Start Menu from the popup menu.
