If your keyword has a Windows Logo Key (normally located between the ALT and CTRL key) you can use the following shortcuts:
- Winkey: Display the Start Menu
- Winkey+D: Minimize all open windows and display your desktop instead
- Winkey+D+Shift: Restore all windows
- Winkey+E: Display Windows Explorer
- Winkey+F: Find Files and Folders
- Winkey+CTRL+F: Search Results Utility
- Winkey+F1: Display Windows Help
- Winkey+R: Display the Run dialog box
- Winkey+Pause/Break: Display the System Properties dialog box
- Winkey+Tab: Allows you to cycle through taskbar buttons
You can use keyboard shortcuts in order to access many applications, give the following shortcuts a go:
- CTRL+A – Select All
- CTRL+B – Toggle bolding for selected text
- CTRL+C – Copy selected item to clipboard
- CTRL+I – Toggle italics for selected text
- CTRL+N – Open new window/document
- CTRL+P – Print
- CTRL+S – Save
- CTRL+U – Toggle underlining for selected text
- CTRL+V – Paste contents of clipboard into current document
- CTRL+X – Cut select item to clipboard
- CTRL+Z – Undo
- CTRL+Right Arrow – Move insertion point to beginning of next word
- CTRL+Left Arrow – Move insertion point to beginning of previous word
- CTRL+Down Arrow – Move insertion point to beginning of next paragraph
- CTRL+Up Arrow – Move insertion point to beginning of previous paragraph
- CTRL+Shift – Select block of text in chosen direction
- CTRL+F4 – Close the current document
- ALT+F4 – Ext from the existing program
- ALT+Spacebar – Display the system menu
- ALT+undetermined letter in menu – Open corresponding menu
- Shift+F10 – Display the context menu for the selected menu
- F10 – Activates the menu bar
- Esc – Cancel the current action
